Reactive Agents in Behavioral Animation
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper presents actors in behavioral animation as being reactive autonomous agents in a virtual environment. The principles underlying the proposed model are cognition, emergence, situatedness, recursion and cooperation. Also the model is based on a cognitive architecture where both controlled and automatic procedures coexist. An animated sequence of a navigation scene is generated by a prototype.

An Architecture for Concurrent Reactive Agents in Real-Time Animation
This paper proposes an architecture for real-time behavioral animation based on parallel interactions between simple recursive reactive agents and allowing for integration with external articulated figure software. An animated sequence of a navigation scene where two actors play different roles is generated by a prototype.
متن کاملPsychological reactions in the (I.C.U.) Department of Animation
The Psycho-reactive problems affecting patients, relatives and staff in the intensive care unit are discussed in this article. These problems are usually due to the admitting disease itself, ( obvious anxiety of the patient who has just had a coronary infarction agitation of the patient with incipient respiratory failure) or psycho-reactive problems arising directly from the I.C.U. environme...
متن کاملHierarchical Model for Real Time Simulation of Virtual Human Crowds
This paper describes a model for simulating crowds of humans in real time. We deal with a hierarchy composed of virtual crowds, groups and individuals. The groups are the most complex structure that can be controlled in different degrees of autonomy. This autonomy refers to the extent to which the virtual agents are independent of the user intervention and also the amount of information needed ...
متن کاملIcobj Programming
A simple and fully graphical programming method is presented, using a powerful means to combine behaviors. This programming is based on the notion of an icobj which has a behavioral aspect ( object part), a graphical aspect ( icon part), with an animation aspect. Icobj programming provides parallelism, broadcast event communication and migration through the network. An experimental system based...
متن کاملTerrain reasoning for human locomotion
We describe a real-time model of terrain traversal by simulated human agents. Agent navigations includes a variety of simulated sensors, terrain reasoning with behavioral constraints, and detailed simulation of a variety of locomotion techniques. The path through the terrain is incrementally computed by a behavioral reasoning system configuring a behavioral feedback network. A number of sensors...
